Job summary
This is an amazing opportunity to take advantage of an exciting post of Consultant Paediatrician at Queens Hospital, Burton on Trent.
As well as providing a high-quality paediatric service, you will work together with senior colleagues in shaping the future of paediatric services. You will have shared responsibility for the operational performance, clinical quality, and resource management of the service.
Main duties of the job
The role on offer is for an 8 PA contract with potential scope for further PA's in the future subject to job planning. It will include 1:7.5 on-call commitmentfor general paediatrics and the neonatal unit including weekends for providing an out-of-hours emergency service, on a shared basis with other Consultants within the Department for which an on-call availability supplement is payable.
You will be responsible for the continuing care and treatment of patients in your charge and personal performance of clinical duties as agreed in your job plan.
It is essential for applicants for substantive Consultant posts to be on the GMC Specialist Register or be within six months of their CCT date at the interview date
