Job summary

A vacancy has arisen at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton at our Royal Derby Hospital in the Breast Unit Screening Office for a Pathway Co-ordinator.

We are looking for a team player to join our screening administration team within the Breast Unit working 37.5 hrs per week. You will be providing administrative support for Breast Screening including dealing with phone queries.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide effective communication
  • To ensure all enquiries are effectively managed and successfully resolved within a prompt timescales.
  • Awareness and understanding of sensitive information, ensuring strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Ensure timely delivery of daily tasks e.g. clinic prep, reconciling clinics, sending letters, running ad-hoc reports
  • Managing daily phone calls for booking and changing appts
  • Provide reception cover when required
  • Use of IT applications to monitor, prepare and validate databases as appropriate.
  • To actively participate in regular team and departmental meetings
  • To organise and obtain imaging information from other hospitals
  • To provide general office duties such as filing
  • To provide data entry support
  • An understanding of the Breast Screening standards. Training will be given
  • To provide support and cover to other areas to the Business Unit/Division and to undertake other duties as requested.
