Job summary

Following an internal promotion, we are looking for a pro-active, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to work within the Medical Recruitment department as a Senior Medical Recruitment Administrator with a focus on International Onboarding. This service supports Trust recruitment for the medical and dental workforce at University Hospitals of Derby & Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

Main duties of the job

To provide a professional and comprehensive recruitment administration service within the Medical Recruitment department for UHDB, working with a number of key stakeholders to ensure a seamless recruitment for medical and dental vacancies.

You will be a team player but have the ability to work independently, will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with an ability to prioritise their own workload and manage time effectively in a busy office.

Responsible for all employment matters relating to the locally employed doctors, including pre-employment checks, issuing contracts of employment within the necessary timescales ensuring accurate salary and working patterns are included.

Working alongside the departments to ensure local and international new starters are supported throughout their onboarding journey.

To provide a professional and comprehensive recruitment administration service within the Medical Recruitment department for UHDB.

Ensuring the effectiveness of all communications and organisational systems at all times.

Responsible for the operational management of the recruitment administration processes and functions of the team and to undertake day to day management of administration staff.

Qualifications

Essential

  • GCSE grade C/4 or above or equivalent in English and Maths

Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience delivering recruitment or HR services in an office environment.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment/employment legislation and good practice such as equal opportunities.
  • Knowledge of a full range of non-routine administration procedures and systems, acquired through training and experience to Diploma Vocational level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of current and relevant employment law particularly in relation to employment contracts, Right to Work UKVI rules, DBS and GDPR.
  • Knowledge of best practice recruitment and selection processes

Desirable

  • Experience of working in Medical Staffing.
  • Experience of leading small projects.
  • Experience of using applicant tracking systems eg; Trac System
  • Experience of developing procedures or Standard Operating Procedures.
