Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to work as a Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant within the Kings Lodge Neurological Rehabilitation. We work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure we achieve the best patient care.
Our team provides inpatient physiotherapy to patients with a range of neurological conditions. We aim to help people to work towards their goals and maximise their potential.
The role will include joint sessions, leading exercise groups and individual patient therapy sessions. You will also be responsible for maintaining stock and equipment as well as administrative duties such as referrals, ordering and collating statistics.
The ability to adapt communication skills and team working skills are essential to the role.

Main duties of the job
- Treatment and rehabilitation of patients with a neurological condition under the supervision of a qualified therapist. Sessions maybe joint, independent or group settings.
- Assisting in formal and informal teaching.
- Promote patient independence.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive and up to date treatment notes in line with legal and departmental requirements for each patient.
- Ensure appropriate use of equipment and stock.
- Ensure maintenance of equipment and report any faults.
- Clerical duties including ordering, photocopying, collecting data, ongoing referrals, using computer programmes to develop exercise sheets.
- Communicate with all members of the Multidisciplinary team and external services.
