We are delighted to offer an opportunity for high-calibre and highly skilled candidates to join the anaesthetic team within University Hospitals of Derby & Burton.
We are seeking to appoint 2 Specialist Anaesthetist (Specialist Doctor 2021 grade) with an interest and experience in Obstetric Anaesthesia to join our progressive Obstetric Anaesthetic team.
The roles present the suitable applicants with an opportunity to join a bright and dynamic Department of over 160 anaesthetists across the Trust, and you will be mentored and supported to flourish in your career.
Main duties of the job
The 2 posts are to be initially based at the Royal Derby Hospital but cross-site working at other Hospitals within UHDB is possible and would be supported and encouraged. The main area of working would be in Obstetric anaesthesia but remaining sessions would be delivered in non-Obstetric theatre lists to fulfil departmental need whilst being supportive of candidates' non-Obstetric interests.
As experienced and senior members of the anaesthetic team, involvement in managerial aspects and roles within the anaesthetic department will be encouraged and supported.
