Job summary
We are looking for a friendly Healthcare Worker (HCS) to compliment our existing Renal Home Therapies Team. We believe this is an excellent opportunity for a positive, hardworking, flexible, enthusiastic individual who demonstrates care and compassion.
This role is mainly community based providing an Assisted Peritoneal Dialysis Service. It involves setting up an Automated Peritoneal Dialysis machine for patients to use at home.
This service is provided 7 days a week and you will need to be flexible with hours and shifts to work around patient needs.
You will need a full driving licence
Ideally some prior knowledge and experience of Peritoneal Dialysis.
We strongly recommend an informal visit prior to interview to understand the role in full.
This role is for 12 months to cover maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant you will be qualified to either NVQ level II or QCF level II diploma in a health related subject or have equivalent related healthcare experience.
In addition you will be educated to a good standard of Numeracy and Literacy (GCSE A-C). Please state clearly on your application form each individual qualification you have obtained that is essential for the role.
