Job summary

Pivotal to delivering the Trusts improvements and delivering exceptional care together will be the appointment of an accomplished and visionary leader to join our Board. The Executive Chief Digital Information Officer reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of healthcare delivery through the implementation of our ambitious Digital and Data Strategy.

As the Chief Digital Information Officer, you will spearhead the execution and advancement of our Digital and Data Strategy, concentrating on key responsibilities such as deploying a unified Trust EPR & PAS system and overseeing its thorough implementation. Additionally, you will offer strategic guidance to digital, data, and health records teams across UHDB, guaranteeing the synchronisation of digital services with UHDB strategies, and cultivating a pervasive 'digital-first' culture. Your role extends to active participation in national initiatives to elevate UHDB's standing as a digital exemplar, along with establishing and nurturing influential relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in digital leadership within a large and complex organisation, demonstrating success in strategic planning and delivery, particularly in driving substantial organisational change. Experience in creating integrated digital platforms, overseeing I&MT systems procurement. To succeed in this role, you will need excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in healthcare.
