Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible and motivated individual to join our Paediatric Was Not Brought (WNB) Team. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a positive outlook, friendly nature, ability to work as part of a team, meet deadlines and show a high level of initiative. The ability to use IT software is essential.

To provide a professional and comprehensive Administration Service in thePaediatric WNB (Was not brought) team always ensuring the effectiveness of all communications and organisational systems.

This role is based at the Royal Derby Hospital.

Main duties of the job

The main duties for this role will include:

  • Calling parents/carers to remind them of their upcoming appointment
  • Cancel/re-schedule appointments as appropriate on Lorenzo/e-Rs/Meditech
  • Extract clinic lists via Lorenzo & Meditech
  • Collate and update data on Excel spread sheet.
  • Clinic slot utilisation
  • Managing the electronic room booking system

This is an exciting role for someone wishing to gain experience in a paediatric setting. Our patient reminder service has been in operation for around 4 years and over this time, we have reduced our WNB (Was Not Brought) percentage rate from 13% to around 7%.
