Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Maternity and Gynaecology business unit at Queen's Hospital Burton for a 22.5 hour secondment position as a general administrator.

The post holder will be able to work flexibly with or along side the midwifery senior team, consultants and other members of the team when required.

We are looking for an emphatic, enthusiastic and motivated team player with excellent communication and problem solving skills to join our friendly team.

Main duties of the job

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good standard of English to O level/GCSE standard
  • RSA/OCR level 3 typing (or experience)
  • Experience of working in an administrative role
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • To support the midwifery team with HR administration, logging absences and changes on ESR.
  • To organise, attend and take meeting minutes
  • To support the medical secretaries if required.
  • To act as a central point of contact for the administration service within the midwifery team including general office duties and scanning
