Job summary
We are recruiting for x 2 Healthcare Cleaners positions at Royal Derby Hospital to join our Decontamination Team.
We pride ourselves on the high standards of cleanliness throughout our services. Healthcare Cleaners are a valued members of the Facilities Team and are respected for the work they do.
You must be flexible and previous cleaning experience working in hospital/healthcare settings are desirable but not essential.
You must be physically able to undertake all aspects of the role.

- Post 1 - 35 hours per week, working Mon to Fri 8:30-16:00
- Post 2 - 20.5 hours per week, working on 4 weeks rota providing cover from 10:00-22:00 including weekends.

Main duties of the job
The individual will be working, as part of the Deep Clean Team or on their own, ensuring that patient and non patient rooms, furniture and equipment are deep cleaned to the highest cleanliness standards.
Responsible to respond timely on Infection Control and Ward/Department requests to decontaminate rooms with Hydrogen Peroxide , setting up inflatable Derby Door or delivering Portable sinks to the outbreak areas.
To ensure that enhanced cleanliness standards are maintained and all cleaning equipment is used in accordance with the instructions and faults reported.The successful candidates will be supported by the Facilities Management team. A comprehensive training package will be provided, and other elements of training will be discussed through the appraisal process.
