Job summary
There is an exciting opportunity for high-calibre consultant level candidates to join the anaesthetic team within University Hospitals of Derby & Burton and surrounding areas. We are seeking to appoint 2 Locum Consultants roles in Anaesthesia.
The roles presents the suitable applicants with an opportunity to join a bright and dynamic Department of over 160 anaesthetic consultants across the Trust, and you will be mentored and supported to flourish in your career.
Desirable experiences would include experience in different hospitals / departments where opportunities to develop leadership and management experience have been fully utilized. Evidence of team working is essential.
The 2 posts involve cross site working between Royal Derby Hospital and Queen's Hospital, Burton.
The Subspeciality interests include specifically Paediatric Anaesthesia, Vascular Anaesthesia, Perioperative Medicine and Spinal Anaesthesia.
Fixed sessions are available as detailed in the provisional job plans together with the remaining commitment that will be delivered flexibly over the year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential criteria
- MBBS or equivalent
- Possession of FRCA
- GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of receipt of CCT at time of interview
- If applying for Full GMC Registration & Licence to Practice simultaneously with a CESR application, supporting documentary evidence must be provided at interview, to confirm an application has been submitted & is under consideration by the GMC.
- Postgraduate qualification or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Additional higher medical/scientific degree relevant to the specialty
