Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby & Burton have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated E-rostering Senior Administrator to join the Trust's busy and dynamic E-rostering Team.

The E-rostering team are responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Trust's electronic rostering system (Allocate HealthRoster) across all staffing groups. This involves training and supporting staff in the use of HealthRoster, reporting, trouble-shooting, solving queries and more.

The E-rostering Senior Administrator role will provide support to the E-rostering Administrators, who are first point of contact for E-rostering queries, and also assist the E-rostering Facilitators with HealthRoster implementation and efficiencies. You will provide in depth training on HealthRoster across all staffing groups and will require strong customer service skills and excellent negotiation and persuasion techniques. The role will require the ability to produce and analyse system generated data; carrying out calculations and adjustments as required. The role is fast-paced and varied and requires a passion for problem-solving plus the ability to prioritise own workload.

Main duties of the job

  • Support E-rostering system users, liaising with staff at all levels and across all staffing groups
  • Provide support to the E-rostering Administration Team, providing advice and guidance in relation to complex issues and queries
  • Advanced use of electronic rostering system across all staffing groups in line with Trust vision
  • Assist E-rostering Facilitators in the roll out and maintenance of HealthRoster across the Trust, providing support and training to end users as required
  • Maintenance of roster information across staffing groups, making calculations and system adjustments to ensure accurate maintenance of data
  • Troubleshooting of issues, proactively seeking process improvements to benefit both service and end user
  • Previous experience working within the NHS and/or similar environments and use of Allocate HealthRoster are desirable but not essential, as a full training package will be provided
