Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Physiotherapist to join a small, established specialist Children's Physiotherapy team at The Royal Derby Hospital.
The Derbyshire Children's Hospital has a part-time vacancy for a Band 7 Lead Children's Community Respiratory Physiotherapist to work within the Children's Continuing Care Team.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled, enthusiastic and flexible physiotherapist to join our Continuing Care Children's Respiratory Physiotherapy Service, to work alongside the existing Lead Physiotherapist.
You must have proven paediatric respiratory expertise with significant experience of working with children receiving ventilation. You should also exhibit leadership qualities. The post offers the opportunity to work within both acute and community settings and requires the therapist to assess, treat and manage a small but varied caseload of children with acute and chronic respiratory needs.
Supervision and teaching is an essential part of the role. You will be responsible for organising and delivering specialist training to a wide range of people, including families and staff members both within the NHS and in other organisations. The ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills is essential to work effectively within this multi-disciplinary team.
There will be an expectation that the post holder will show an interest in service development, audit and research.
