Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join our team of pharmacists and technicians providing a wide range of clinical pharmacy services to specialist medical wards and departments across UHDB.
The Advanced Pharmacist, Specialist Medicine role involves close liaison and team working with a range of clinical, nursing and managerial staff in order to ensure that we deliver optimum clinical pharmacy services for our patients.
We are currently expanding the team to include three Advanced Pharmacists for Specialist Medicine - two posts will be based at the Royal Derby Hospital, and one at Queen's Hospital Burton. Please indicate your preferred base site in your application.
Main duties of the job
With the support of rotational pharmacists, specialist pharmacists and medicines management technicians you will support the delivery, leadership and development of clinical pharmacy services to the Specialist Medicine Business Units.
This post enables you to utilise and build upon your clinical skills and offers the opportunity to demonstrate and refine your leadership and organisation skills. As Advanced Pharmacist for Specialist Medicine you will have the opportunity to input to the education, quality and governance agendas both within Pharmacy and in the Specialist Medicine Business Units.
