Job summary

Junior Clinical Fellow in Paediatrics fixed term for 6 months with the possibility of extending to 12 months commencing the beginning August 2021

Main duties of the job

Derbyshire Childrens Hospital is regionally renowned for its support and training of junior doctors. This is a 6 month post with the possibility of extending to 12 months to experience paediatrics on the wards, in the emergency department and the post natal wards. This post is for someone with an interest in paediatrics who has completed their foundation years training.

Job description

Job responsibilities

It is expected that the successful applicant will make good use of the local education and lack of participation in this will influence eligibility for study leave further afield. The paediatric college tutor is responsible for assessing appropriateness of and eligibility for study leave along with the trust postgraduate tutor. Whenever possible clinical supervision will be undertaken by a consultant or specialty doctor from within the Childrens Emergency department.
