Job summary
Ward 23 is a 26 bedded orthopaedic ward. Our multi disciplinary team serve patients who are recovering from orthopaedic trauma as well as elderly general medical patients. We are a dementia friendly ward with an enthusiastic team who seek to deliver quality care to all patients whilst also supporting carers and relatives. We would welcome caring, compassionate, enthusiastic applicants who work well within a team and recognise that elderly speciality is where they want to work.
Main duties of the job
The duties of a healthcare assistant on ward 23 will involve caring for patients, ensuring high standards of care are met with washing , dressing, bathing. Also ensuring safety of all patients are met with regards to ensuring patients are monitored to reduce falls. Completing observations, ordering meals and assisting patients at meals times.
