Job summary
An opening has become available for a friendly and enthusiastic Ward Clerk to join our busy Maternity Team . The post holder may also be asked to provide cover at a variety of bases across the trust sites depending on staffing requirements.
This post is full time, Monday - Sunday working shifts between 7.00am and 21.00.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a reception service, acting as first point of contact on the telephone or face to face, for patients, visitors and other healthcare professionals.
- To facilitate good communication with other wards and departments involved in patient care or ward/departmental functioning.
- To input data regarding all admissions, transfers and discharges onto Patient Administration System.
- To provide an efficient administration and clerical service to unit staff, visitors and patients.
