Job summary
NPC Ponteland is seeking a Salaried GP for up to 5 sessions per week to join our supportive, well-established team. We serve around 11,000 patients across our main site in Ponteland and our branch site in Dinnington. We pride ourselves on a culture of teamwork, wellbeing, and a healthy work-life balance. As a teaching practice, we support GP registrars, medical and nursing students, and invest in the development of our own team. We welcome candidates interested in teaching or developing special interests within a forward-thinking, supportive environment. We would ideally like someone who could work their sessions towards the latter part of the week, but we are open to discussion and compromise.
Rooted in a strong local community, the practice also offers the professional support and opportunities of being part of the wider NPC organisation.

Main duties of the job
As a GP Practice which is part of Northumbria Primary Care Ltd (NPC), we work with flexibility and independence to run the surgery based on what is best for our patients and staff, and additionally we have the regular and consistent support of the management team to help us to focus on what is clinically important.
As a Salaried GP the post holder will be a key clinician within the team. A job plan will be agreed with you to provide general medical services and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting.

The post holder will work as a member of the multidisciplinary Practice team to provide general medical services for the needs of the practice population and to help ensure the Practice provides the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
