The successful candidate will work closely with the wider NEP team on process and system developments, supporting the management of cloud-based services, system patching and upgrades as well as supporting NEP Clients with issue resolution. They will be the first point of contact for the resolution of system and technology-related Service Desk calls, working with the relevant service providers to ensure the effective and timely resolution of all technical and system-related issues.

Main duties of the job
As Functional Development Support, you will be a key member of the Functional Development team responsible for supporting project delivery and contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the NEP Cloud solution and IT infrastructure.
Your duties will include the development of service extensions and integrations, managing system-related incidents, undertaking system and data configuration tasks, supporting patching and upgrade cycles, and working with third-party providers to troubleshoot more complex issues. You will collaborate with internal technical and programme teams as well as partner organisations to ensure service continuity and an excellent user experience.
You will also be involved in data and usage analysis, report generation, and the creation of technical documentation, while providing informal guidance to colleagues and supporting the wider service desk operation when required.
This role involves hybrid working, typically three days in the office and two from home each week. Some out-of-hours support may occasionally be required to facilitate system changes or planned upgrades.

You will act as a key contact for resolving system and service-related issues, ensuring timely and accurate outcomes while upholding high standards of service.
