Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Theatre Team Leader to join the team of staff at Alnwick Infirmary covering a wide range of day case surgery. This role will be working alongside the existing Band 6s delivering efficient, safe and diverse services to the communities of Alnwick, Berwick and Morpeth. This role will be based at Alnwick with the expectation that support when required will be given to Berwick Hospital and Morpeth Unit as and when required.

You must be dynamic , flexible and forward thinking and motivated to drive change and creative ways of working to cover trust wide service needs.

This full time role will be to manage the diverse services of both Surgery and Endoscopy at Alnwick. Ensuring that resources are available to deliver efficient and safe patient care within the Surgical and Endoscopy services provide from this site. This role is to provide strong leadership skills ensuring staff are fully trained and supported and all patients receive the highest standards of care during their treatment . You will link in with other base sites to ensure adequate equipment is available and the skill mix is appropriate for the case mix. You role will be to ensure all practices are up to date and aligned with governance requirements, maintaining awareness of complications with relevant regulations and standards.

The successful post holder must be able to role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the Trust.

  • Registered mentor

  • Evidence of further specialist knowledge/ education including demonstration of CPD in relevant area
