Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced and innovative nurse who is interested and motivated to develop care and services in all aspects of Respiratory Medicine.
The post holder will work with the existing team members to support the current services, including home care services for patients with respiratory disease. You will be expected to work within the team but also be able to work independently. You will be able to demonstrate appropriate clinical skills and knowledge and plan and organise a clinical case load on a daily basis. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to foster positive relationships at all levels, including discussion and presentation of relevant information to the multi-disciplinary team. You will be required to promote integration within the multidisciplinary team, all who participate in the care of patients with respiratory conditions.
The postholder may be required to work at all sites within the Trust.
An Internal secondment opportunity may also be available.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a comprehensive clinical nursing service within respiratory medicine, with an emphasis on patient centred care and chronic disease management.
- Design and conduct regular audit and participation in relevant local and national research
- Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of patients records
- Participate in service development and research
- Duties include Hospital @ Home service involving weekends and evening working on call.
