Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our busy Secretarial team within the Surgical Directorate working Trust Wide. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our busy administrative team to provide secretarial support .

This post will be full time Monday to Friday and worked on flexi time (which can be explained further to the successful candidate). We also offer agile working.This will be working within the Plastics Team based at North Tyneside General Hospital. The successful candidates may be required to work elsewhere in the Trust.

Main duties of the job

To provide a full secretarial service to consultants and their teams.

To provide supervisor support to the other team members and support with there, rostering, return to works and daily management,

The successful candidate will provide transcription, administrative and secretarial support service to theteam. The post holder must be able to use own initiative, work under pressure, keep to strict deadlines and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of IT packages and their applications is essential. Support on the use of the G2 software package will be provided within the surgical directorate. ECDL and knowledge of PAS and previous experience of working within the healthcare environment would be desirable.

Advanced typing & transcription of clinical & non-clinical documents (OCR 3 or equivalent qualification/experience). Effective utilisation of OP clinic capacity. Manage all patient journeys including target administration, GP referrals, 18 week RTT, Cancer 2ww, Typed communication to GPs.

  • AMSPAR Diploma or equivalent experience

  • ECDL or advanced EDCL,
