Main duties of the job
oSupporting Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and Simulation: The postholder will assist the Education Technologies Trainer in delivering technology-enhanced learning and simulation for individuals accessing education and training at the Academy.
o Supporting the operation, maintenance, and evaluation of the various technologies and equipment used by the Academy.
o Assisting with preparing safe training areas to support teaching, courses, assessments, and examinations both at the Academy and in other required locations.
o The postholder will monitor and maintain supplies and stock related to simulation or teaching, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and stored safely.
o Providing troubleshooting and support to staff using technologies and equipment at the Academy.
oThe postholder will work within the department to develop skills, knowledge, and experience in all aspects of technology-enhanced learning and simulation. They will also undertake initial and continuous training related to technology and equipment at the Academy and complete a Level 3 Education Technologies Assistant Apprenticeship.
oUpdating and Supporting Web Pages and Social Media: Where required, the postholder will update and support web pages and social media associated with the Academy.

- GCSE Mathematics and English Grade 4/C or equivalent.
- Knowledge of one or more computer system(s), hardware or software, or telephony systems acquired through diploma or equivalent experience / qualification.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in a technology related subject.
- ICDL.
- Simulation Technician apprenticeship.
