We require reliable, enthusiastic and motivated unregistered vaccinators to join our bank. The post will support a team who provide vaccinations to our patients and staff in our Trust sites and within the community, via residential settings and within their own homes. In return we will offer you:

Main duties of the job
The role is to work as part of a dynamic team across Northumberland & North Tyneside in delivering a safe & effective service for the delivery of the winter vaccinations in acute & community settings.
We have a range of shifts, 7 days per week including day shifts, early shifts, late shifts , twilight, nights & weekends. With bank you can pick & choose which shifts suit you. The post holder will be responsible for:
- To vaccinate eligible cohorts under the direction of the senior nurse
- To keep up to date with national protocol/guidance for delivery of vaccines
- Assess a patient's eligibility for the vaccination
- Listen to & support any concerns the patient may have & address these appropriately, with the support of the clinical lead/registered clinician, as required
- Ensure that clinical assessment & eligibility for the vaccine has been carried out prior to vaccination, as well consent being gained by a registered professional
- Ensure that accurate recording of the vaccine is made on the recording system
- Ensure that routine, complex & sensitive information is communicated to patients & their relatives/carers
- Ensure the correct use & disposal of equipment, as per the SOP
- Adhere to all practice policies & procedures
- Work within own competencies & use own judgement, seeking support as required
- Assist the monitoring of stock, as required
- The post will include lone working, you must be able to drive & have access to a car, as you may work in a variety of locations during a shift.
