Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our team on Ward 4 at NSECH

Ward 4 is a ward specialising in the gastro patients who are acutely unwell and having treatment medically and endoscopy.

Whilst experience would be an advantage, full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

The main purpose of the role is to plan, implement and evaluate nursing care working as a member of the multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the nurses and the ward manager.

  • Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties in hospital, community, and othersettings.
  • Records patient observations and changes to patient clinical conditions
  • Carries out limited clinical care duties.

  • To provide safe and high-quality care to patients/clients.
  • Undertakes a limited range of delegated clinical care duties, relevant to the services provided / work area, record patient observations e.g. taking blood pressure, blood glucose monitoring,pregnancy testing, routine maternal and neonatal observations, observing patients for signs ofagitation or distress.
  • Wound observations and simple wound dressings.
  • Removal of peripheral canulae.
  • Urinalysis removal of catheter
  • Aids with personal hygiene, eating and drinking, mobility needs under direct or indirectsupervision.
  • To promote patient/client health
  • To prepare the relevant area for procedures
