Job summary
The Security departments at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provide a variety of services to patients and departments, maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff, the provision of a high quality, efficient customer orientated Security service and compliance with the Trust Patient Confidentiality Policy.
The aim of the service is to assist the Hotel Services Officer to provide an effective, reliable and responsible security service throughout the 24-hour period in a comprehensive, safe and timely manner to the Trusts' patients, visitors and staff.
Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient and effective service responsible for providing a uniformed specialist service. Ensuring that patients, visitors and staff are given advice and provided with a safe and secure environment in line with legislation, regulation, Trust policies and procedures and particularly in emergency situations. This will include communication with emergency services/teams.
Protect people and property, detecting and preventing crime including operating and controlling an access control, CCTV and key control systems. Undertake full range of Car Park duties and responsibilities.
