Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy team within NTIMS (North Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Service). The post-holder will mainly be based at North Tyneside General Hospital, working in the main musculoskeletal outpatients department, gym-based functional rehabilitation classes, but may also be required to work at other sites.

Main duties of the job

The post would require the applicant to be competent in assessing and issuing appropriate walking aids. They would be required to assist the Physiotherapists in the treatment of their patients, working to defined protocols and treatment plans, but being confident to advise regarding basic treatment progressions without direct supervision. The successful applicant would be expected to manage their own clinical caseload of non-complex conditions. The applicant would be required to oversee preplanned gym sessions and apply basic progressions of treatment.

NTIMS (North Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Service) is the musculoskeletal Physiotherapy service in North Tyneside and is part of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Based at North Tyneside Hospital we also provide clinics at GP practices around the region.
