An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small and busy Radiology team at Hexham General Hospital, within The Northumbria NHS Foundation trust. The department provides a wide range of imaging services including CT , plain & theatre imaging in addition to fluoroscopy.
Northumbria Healthcare is dedicated to providing efficient and effective services to all patients and service users and is highly supportive of the extended scopes of practice within Radiology.
Previous knowledge and experience in CT is essential.
Experience and knowledge with CT Colonography and Cardiac CT are desirable but not essential.
Hexham General Hospital provides Radiology 7 days per week with extended hours
Main duties of the job
To undertake all aspects of plain imaging, CT and fluoroscopy ensuring safe, effective and efficient service.
Participate in the rostered shift pattern which includes weekends, extended days and the on call service.
Participate in audit and quality assurance programmes to ensure a safe environment and excellent patient experience.
The successful candidates will be required to supervise and support students and assistant practitioners.

May be required to work in any radiology department with appropriate notice. Including community hospitals. Expected to participate in shifts/rotas to cover a 24/7 service

- Specialist post registration qualification in a specialized imaging modality at diploma level and or the equivalent experience e.g CT, Barium, Fluoroscopy, mammography, Cardiac Cath lab. IVP or image interpretation

- Use of a vehicle
