Job summary
The Commercial Department is responsible for the generation of non-core income for re-investment into patient care. An important project focussed on future commercial growth opportunity has been identified, which requires the successful applicant to develop an options paper for further consideration. This role will be based within the Group Sales Team, who are responsible for finding new client opportunities, and will regularly interact with other business units
The Group Sales Team are responsible for development and generation of the commercial non healthcare products within Northumbria Healthcare. The team promotes our salary sacrifice schemes, the Manufacturing and Innovation Hub, and a number of other commercial revenue streams.

Main duties of the job
- Knowledge of a range of routine work procedures acquired through on-the-job training.
- The purpose of the role would be to gather, summarise and apply relevant information to assist the organisation to develop a proposal for innovative marketplace solutions.
- Develop the proposals to inform the management of solutions to problems, using project management software and methodologies.
- To work under the guidance of the Senior Sales Manager and Group Sales Director
- To lead on a new project aimed at evaluating and growing commercial revenue opportunity.
- To attend and participate in trade events and meetings.
- Liaise with internal and external individuals, teams, and departments.
- Learn about the business in the context of a degree course (most likely business related) and apply learning into practice.
- To develop own knowledge, skills and behaviours in a commercial environment.
