Job summary

Opportunities are available for an enthusiastic, motivated Nursing Assistant to join our Out Patient Nursing Team. The post is available for a full time permanent contract and will be based at either North Tyneside Hospital or Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, with an agreement that you may be required to work in other areas of the Trust.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work as part of the Nursing Healthcare Team to deliver out patient services to a wide range of specialities.

You should have excellent communication skills when dealing with patients and colleagues to ensure quality care is provided to patients in a timely fashion.

To assist the clinicians in the deliver of clinics. To chaperone and assist patients before, during and after appointments.To competently prepare clinics prior to delivery, to assist during delivery and clear post deliver.

To follow the trust policies and protocols, maintaining own mandatory training

To assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of high quality direct and indirect patient care To provide assistance and support to patients, carers and the multi-disciplinary team To maintain high clinical standards To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment

To work under the supervision of a qualified nurse and assist in the implementation of patient care both direct and non direct
