We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual with relevant skills, knowledge and experience to join the System Support Team at NEP.
The Systems Support Officer is a systems analyst who is responsible for System Support to the NEP Consortium, management of support requests within the NEP Service Desk and the mentorship of the Systems Support Assistants.
Main duties of the job
Teamwork is key in this role and the Systems Support Team work very closely together to ensure that all Service Desk calls are fully investigated, managed and resolved within predefined timescales, in accordance with NEP Service Level Agreements (SLA) and whilst adhering to strict security protocols, which ensure the safety and security of data within the system.

NEP is a not-for-profit NHS Consortium that provides a centrally serviced, all-encompassing shared Finance and Procurement Cloud ERP system, that fully supports an ever-changing NHS National Agenda as well as including Shared Service opportunities, NHS Procurement Strategy, NHS LongTerm Plan, incorporating Future Focus Finance Initiatives.
NEP is the largest Consortium within the English NHS, ran by people who really understand and care about the NHS. Our Finance and Procurement Cloud solutions and services have been designed specifically for the NHS by the NHS.
The NEP Systems Support Team manage an electronic Service Desk between the hours of 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 to 17:00 Friday; as such the Systems Support Team will work rostered shifts within these times. This post allows hybrid-working, where work will be carried out 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home as part of the support team rota.
There may be the occasional requirement to support system testing outside of normal working hours.

The Systems Support Officers will also be required to provide assistance with;
- The design, testing and implementation of developments and enhancements. Including software, web pages, information reports and the installation and maintenance of a range of hardware and software.
- Providing on-going systems support to the NEP Consortium including assisting with designated training, and the provision of advice and assistance in the development of standardised business processes.
- The analysis of complex data, providing on-going support and producing reports to NEP Consortium Organisations whilst providing advice on analytical/statistical queries to nonanalytical/statistical professionals.
