Job summary

In summary, the post holder is responsible for developing and delivering secure software solutions to support NHS Fleet Solutions. Work will be a combination of customer and internal admin staff facing building on a protfolio of systems.

You will be part of an existing team filled with developer and database experts but you will have the ability to drive direction in technical choices

Main duties of the job

In particular skills and experience required for the role of Senior Developer includes:

    • Net Core, C#, ASP.Net
    • Microservices design patterns and approaches
    • CI/CD setup and delivery
    • Microsoft SQL Server, Cosmos DB
    • JSON, REST
    • Capable of teaching/mentoring/pair-programming with other members of the team

Job responsibilities

  • Analyses, interprets and resolves highly complex business processes, technical and data problems where there is no precedent and recommends innovative solutions where other leading opinions may conflict.
  • Must be able to analyse and evaluate highly complex facts or situations requiring analysis, interpretation and comparisons of a range of options.
  • Expert understanding of cost/benefit analysis of alternative solutions with the ability to maximise value for money by identifying innovative solutions
  • Must be analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task with excellent organisational skills in a dynamic work environment.
