Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 7 Musculoskeletal (MSK) Rheumatology Physiotherapist who is enthusiastic, skilled, and ready to take on the responsibility and challenges of a senior and innovative position within a busy clinical environment. The post is a full-time, permanent post within Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, and the post holder will be based at North Tyneside General Hospital as part of our Musculoskeletal team. There will be some requirement for clinic provision at other Trust sites.
The post will require psychometric testing.
Main duties of the job
Successful applicants will provide leadership and day to day organisation of the Rheumatology Musculoskeletal outpatient department Trust wide . The post holder will provide expert assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with rheumatological conditions and work with the rheumatology MDT. Links with the wider team will be maintained with post holder integrating into our outpatient team.
We have strong links with Northumbria Rheumatology team & the successful applicant must demonstrate excellent communication skills with Multidisciplinary Teams and peers. Applicants should have experience in supervision, education and training of more junior staff and be involved in student education, research and audit.
Applicants must provide evidence of continuous professional development and post graduate training. The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with the senior leadership team in further service development.
