Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to help develop this post with a flexible approach to duties.
The candidate is to lead the production line with their machinist/supervison skills in a textile manufacturing setting . Training will be given to use Sage system to process the works order if needed. Basic Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office packages
Supervising a team of sewing machinists both clean room and production line.
Main duties of the job
To support the machinist and production manager and ensure the flow of work in the production line has got no disruptions.
To control the day-to-day operation (staff & equipment) in the clean room and/or production hall.
Understand and control data, produce and communicate targets individually and collectively.
Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of operational equipment.
Supervise staff resource with regards holidays and sickness.
Supervise problems relating to production per the Trust policies and procedures.
Organise training and help to complete on the job training for new staff.
Keep accurate records as required (such as holiday, stock, training, asset, performance).
Organise and maintain staff rotas, daily plans and manage the completion of timesheets.
Manage and use standard minute values and other relevant performance metrics to improve efficiency.
Work closely with Production Team (Product Design/ Quality).
Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the Management.
