Main duties of the job

It is envisaged that the commitments of the post will be divided between teaching of medical students (7 sessions per week), continuing professional educational development (2 sessions) and administration/ project work (1 session). It may be possible to negotiate up to one session per week for clinical work at the discretion of the Clinical Sub-Dean and the relevant clinical department. Personal development will include undertaking a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education at Newcastle University, or an equivalent qualification. The post-holder will be expected to make a significant contribution to the continued development and delivery of the undergraduate course.
