We have a permanent band 5 position arise within our acute team. Our service is part of one of the largest trusts in the UK and the dietetic team are well valued within the organisation. We would welcome applications from newly qualified to experienced Dietitians as we are able to offer you a variety of opportunities to grow in your role.

Main duties of the job

The post will join our team of Dietitians who are based across the trust and will support our acute team by covering acute wards at Wansbeck General Hospital and North Tyneside General Hospital and general outpatient clinics (delivered virtually and face to face).

Our service is made up of several teams; acute, diabetes, paediatrics, community oral nutrition support, adult weight management, home enteral feeding, community/public health. We are a large department of nearly 50 staff, predominately based between the 3 main sites. The band 5 posts sit within the acute team.

We take B and C placements from Leeds Beckett University and accept students from the newly established course at Newcastle University. All staff are encouraged to take part in student training support will be provided for the successful applicant.

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust care for patients residing from areas such as North Shields, Northumberland, Tynemouth, Hexham, Alnwick and Berwick. We are based in the North East of England, close to Newcastle Upon Tyne.
