Job summary

This is a post (2PA) for the department of Dermatology. The focus of this post is to provide surgery services, a willingness to accept responsibility and provide leadership to the wider clinical team. The post will be based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (Aspen Centre)

The dermatology service is located at Aspen Centre. Facilities include clinic rooms, theatre, minor procedure rooms for skin surgery, treatment and diagnostic facilities.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will run minor op lists in the dermatology outpatient department, supported in clinic by their consultant colleagues. The post holder will also work closely with our specialist nurses and will occasionally be required to teach our medical students and other junior staff.

Integral to the post, will be:

Ensuring the provision of a first class Dermatology service

Working in accordance with the Trust's procedures and operating policies

To conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's service plans

To maintain the confidence of business plans and developments strategies formulated for the specialty, the Support Services Division or the Trust.

Working collaboratively with all members of the dermatology team whilst building working relationships to maintain and happy and functioning department.
