Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data coordinator to join the trauma and orthopaedic team within the surgical directorate.
The post holder will work as part of the nurse practitioner team at Cheltenham organising appointments for follow up arthroplasty patients, entering data for the national joint registry and British spine registry. The post holder also organises bloods for the metal on metal hip patients. A varied and interesting role working within the team of advanced nurse practitioners for T and O.

Main duties of the job
Work autonomously within operating procedures and protocols to manage workload, whilst working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Maintain adequate patient records and ensure all relevant information is documented in the patient's medical and nursing notes if required.
Organise database for patients on a monthly basis, to include requesting appointment slots for follow clinics and send copies of letters to GP for information, insert clinic letters into notes.
Generate patient letters for blood test requests and prepare blood forms for clinician to complete.
Contact patients with results if required and liaise with GP surgeries to chase results not available on pathology system. Assisting with the annual NJR audit and working to ensure the trust has a high level of patient consent rate and contacting patients will be required.
Ordering notes to extract data from missing NJR operations, this involves the use of PACs to find missing information.
Supporting ANP staff by producing graphs/charts with data provided from ERAS/COAP
Manage the spinal registry by extracting the data from the operating lists and clinical case notes to populate the British spinal registry.
Organise the arthroplasty review clinics and set up appointments each week for the nurse practitioner clinics.
Manage outcomes and update patient data.
