Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the Learning Technologist, the role will provide specialist technical and production expertise in audio/visual and digital content to support the Communications and Marketing in the delivery of Gloucester Research Education Group (GREG)
Working in collaboration with the GREG, Medical Photography and colleagues across the organisation to provide high quality creative digital, audio-visual communications, to support effective delivery
Help provide a high quality audio-visual creative communications service and expertise to GREG and Gloucestershire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Support the development of multimedia content for GREG websites, social media platforms and other areas. Where appropriate, the post holder will also provide relevant digital content for external use in other NHS organisations.
Ensure that all audio-visual content meets accessibility, GREG, NHS branding and equality and diversity requirements.
Implement Creative Service audio/visual briefs, meeting agreed timescales, providing and interpreting feedback to make appropriate adjustments to ensure satisfactory completion of the assigned task.
Coordinate audio-visual projects and have collective editorial responsibility for the production of high quality internal and external communications audio/visual digital content
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Aptitude Required
Educated to Degree level in appropriate communications, media or video production or equivalent level of experience in a field related to the demands of the post.
Experience of working on digital based developments with a knowledge of emerging technologies.
Proven experience of the entire videography production journey, including pre-production, filming, editing, audio recording, audio post production and formatting.
Experience of content management systems.
Proven ability to work and contribute effectively within and across teams, focusing at all times on the delivery of high-quality services to the teams internal and external customers.
Experience in delivering to timescales and on budget.
Proficient in use of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premier Pro and Photoshop.
Proficient in use of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint, and be familiar with both Windows 10 and Apple Mac operating systems.
Analytical and insightful with attention to detail and the ability to present complex information into effective creative services products that meet the needs of a range of different audiences.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to deliver against multiple concurrent deadlines.

Key Result Areas
Report to the Learning Technologist, liaising with them on all projects that require audio/visual support.
Deliver, advise and coordinate the production of audio/visual content, ensuring a high standard of work at all times. This includes patient information, corporate, advertising and promotional content as required to support events, services and developments.
Support and assist with the creation and delivery of animated content for digital and social media channels.
Ensure all necessary permissions are in place for the production of audio/visual content in line with data protection requirements.
Deliver digital communications actions efficiently and effectively with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations to ensure targets are met to a high standard, on time and within budget.
Assess and evaluate all jobs carried out, analysing what went well and what needs improvement to share with the wider team.
Maintain accessible storage for all recorded footage and completed projects.
Follow department and organisational policies, procedures and protocols, as well as understanding and applying copyright standards.
Extensive skills, experience and all-round knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite and multimedia hardware and software necessary for image, video and audio production, in particular:
o Adobe Premier Pro For video editing and production.
o Adobe After Effects For social media digital animation production.
o Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom For photo/image creation and manipulation for inclusion in video content.
o Adobe InDesign and Illustrator For digital design production for inclusion in video content.
o Digital Single-Lens Reflex (DSLR) cameras For filming and photography.
o Audio equipment including microphones, pre-amplifiers, field recorders and audio interfaces.
o Digital audio workstations for audio recording and mixing.
o Autocue.
Experience in using SharePoint and Intranet packages and be familiar with web tools including cloud storage and file transfer systems.
Proficient in use of Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint.
Competent in the use of personal computer, printer/copier/scanner, telephone, digital cameras and videography and audio/visual equipment.
Ability to be able to advise and make day-to-day decisions on audio-visual content and to recognise when issues need to be escalated.
Lead specialist responsible for the effective development and delivery of digital audio/visual content across a range of projects and platforms.
Ability to keep assigned projects on track and bring any slippage back in line with project plans, adjusting these on an on-going basis.
Deliver specialist support and advice on all audio/visual aspects of the Creative Services function.
Judgements involve highly complex facts and require interpretation, analysis and decision making in relation to project development.
Develop content that is appropriate to the organisations branding and accessibility standards.
Present final video or animation to team and clients.
Liaise with internal and external colleagues and suppliers to ensure deadlines are met and quality levels are maintained at all times.
Undertake audio visual imaging of patients as required ensuring consent procedures and protocols are followed and ensure clients are informed. Ensure nervous or distressed patients are treated sympathetically and with tact.
Responsible for the use and care of complex expensive equipment used. A high level of dexterity for taking audio visual images will be required.
