Job summary
This role will contribute to the smooth running of the Digital Transformation team by providing co-ordination and administrative services.
The postholder will provide a highly comprehensive and confidential supporting role to the team, ensuring effective communication on confidential matters on a day to day basis with a number of different parties, both internal and external.
The Jnr Project Manager (PM) will work closely with other Project Managers (including Snr PMs) to support the delivery of the Digital Transformation Programme; in addition the postholder will be allocated Minor Projects and / or Small Works to manage (with support from the Project Management Office). Other duties will include arranging and organising a programme of meetings to support all team matters, which may also include diary co-ordination; The preparation of agendas, amendment and formatting of reports, data checking, and accurately recording actions and decisions.
The Jnr PMs will play an important role within the team at a time when the Trust is undergoing a major transformation, this exciting opportunity will include excellent in-house training, and the postholder will get close up experience of how we deliver projects to the Trust. External training towards Project Management development will also be available for candidates who excel and wish to pursue careers within Programme and Project Management or the wider Programme Management Office (PMO).
Main duties of the job
The postholder will help manage IT projects in accordance with good practice to documented and agreed time, cost and quality objectives (with support from Colleagues and the PMO).
Assist project clients in the development and presentation of Project Documentation.
Supporting a team of project staff where applicable.Prepare project reports for management, manage project risks and identify and obtain any support and advice required for the planning and control of projects.To work with clients, suppliers, technical staff and others to develop project resource plans.
Will be required, at times, to work unsupervised. Outcomes may be defined, but the post holder will decide how they are best achieved. Faults may be resolved using initiative and experience.
