Job summary
We are looking for an Band 5 Registered Nurse/ ODP to join our friendly team at the Day Surgery Unit, Cirencester Treatment Centre working for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This vacancy is for a registered nurse or ODP to act as scrub nurse in theatre. Cirencester Treatment Centre is situated within Cirencester Hospital and has one Day Surgery Theatre , a one bedded recovery area and a nurse led pre and post operative ward.
The Treatment Centre is open Monday to Friday from 07:30-19:00. Theatre sessions run from 09:00-17:00
Our specialities include Orthopaedics & Oral Surgery.
We have an active Practice Development Team based at the acute hospital sites who support the training and induction of new members of staff and their development thereafter.
We will consider part time hours for this position.
Main duties of the job
To act as scrub nurse for surgical procedures undertaken in theatre.
Ability to de-escalate and resolve complaints locally from patients, visitors and staff
To liaise with the Senior Sister/Centre Manager and Band 6's to ensure a safe, efficient and well led service.
Ensure personal and professional development is progressed through Individual Performance Development Review and PREP guidelines.
Demonstrate understanding of research based practice, and participate as required in audit.
