Welcome to the Post-Graduate Medical Education Department at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHNHSFT).The Undergraduate Physician Associate Tutor for Surgery, will provide a focus for Undergraduate Physician Associates training and on placements at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GHNHSFT). The applicant will be a Physician Associate employed at GHNHSFT.They will be appointed jointly by the Director of Medical Education and the Physician Associate Tutor. The Line Manager will be the Director of Medical Education/Physician Associate Tutor at GHNHSFT and the role is for 2-hrs per week
Main duties of the job
o Oversee a weekly tutorial for all Undergraduate Physician Associate (PA's)Trainees in partnership with the Undergraduate Physician Associate Tutor for Medicineo Manage the training of PA's in their own departmento Advise departments on developing training plans for newly appointed PA'so Work with Departmental Tutors and the Post-Graduate Medical Education Department, to ensure the Undergraduate PAs receive appropriate Departmental and Trust Inductionso Collaborate with PGME to design Undergraduate Timetables and Rotations in collaboration with the Specialty Tutors and University tutors for the clinical education of PA Trainees
