Are you interested in returning to the Nursing profession? We have an exciting opportunity for you to come and work on a 6-month fixed term contract at band 3 as a return to practice nurse, with one of our outstanding teams within Gloucestershire Hospital Foundation Trust.
We are looking to recruit Nurses who have let their NMC pin lapse as a band 3 Return to Practice Nurse. We have full and part time positions available across the trust.
On completion of regaining your NMC pin you will transition to a band 5 position and will be offered the opportunity to join our University accredited preceptorship programme.

Main duties of the job
We at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are offering two routes into return to practice nursing, at interview we will discuss which route is most suited for you.
- NMC approved Programme we have partnered with University of West England (UWE), which is funded by Health Education England where you can undertake the return to practice course. You will be required to attend 12 study days for the first 6 weeks of your course. You will then be supported by your team in practice to complete your practice documentation. You are also required to work a minimum of 450 hours. At the end of your course the your required to partake in OSCE (test of competence) assessment. This route is open to Midwifes, Adult and Child branch Nurses.
OSCE (Test of competence) if you are an adult nurse, we can enrol you onto our trusts OSCE prep course. Which entails 12 study days over 6 weeks. At the end of your course, you will be able to sit the OSCE examination at Oxford Brookes. This examination and training are fully funded by Health Education England. If you are a child or Midwife looking at this route, we can discuss the process at interview. Prior to starting this route, you will also be required to undertake a computer-based learning(CBT) test of competence part 1 before your agreed start date.
