Job summary

We are looking for a qualified librarian who is enthusiastic about working in the NHS. You will provide high quality evidence to our staff and students to enable their work and equip with them with the skills to find the best information.

You will have the ability to understand staff needs and develop relationships. Team work, communication and the ability to muck in is crucial. We are a dynamic, forward thinking and supportive team who like a challenge and you must be able to thrive in this type of environment - this is not a role for a shrinking violet

Main duties of the job

You will provide tailored training

conduct evidence searches, promote the library, undertake improvement projects, and assist with the day to day activities of the service.

A first degree or postgraduate qualification in librarianship/information science or equivalent Chartership (CILIP) is essential.

Experience of working in a customer facing role in a library, teamwork, delivery of training and conduction literature reviews is required.

You will need self motivation, good communication, organisational, analytical and IT skills.
