Web Content Officer - Communications Team - Band 5
This job is now closed
Job summary
Our website and intranet are vitally important platforms which we use to communicate information to our audiences. Weve gone open source using Wagtail as our CMS and we are seeking a creative, organised and talented communicator with a flair for content to manage our platforms.
You'll combine organisational and writing skills with digital and technical knowledge to ensure our CMS is well-structured, lively, up-to-date, accurate and responsive to latest industry innovation. We are an extremely busy team with a good reputation for high quality work. You'll be an important member of the team turning around a large volume of work in a timely way updating our web pages, images, videos, blog posts, guest articles, reviews and social media posts.
Main duties of the job
You'll need an ability to produce well written content, understand user needs and be able to structure complex information in a clear and simple way. Often you'll work autonomously regularly publishing content in a responsive way. Other times you'll need to work in a more structured and considered way mapping out site design to clearly illustrate complex patient services applying the principles of user needs.
We need a motivated, enthusiastic self-starter who believes in what they do and wants to make a difference to patient care. We are an inclusive organisation and a key part of the role is providing content that is accessible to the wide range of communities we serve. Theres also scope to grow and develop your digital skills. We are particularly keen to build a better understanding of user experience and user needs in influencing our thinking.
About us
We are an extremely busy team with a good reputation for high quality work. You'll be an important member of the team and will work closely with like-minded creatives who care passionately about health inequality and the role marketing communications can play in helping support better health. Now that the corporate bits done we also like to have fun while at work. The team is small (x9 people) but diverse in terms of experience. Team morale is high despite the pressures of the job and we suspect the successful candidate will form life-long friendships with us.
