GLOUCESTERSHIRE HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST TRUST DOCTOR IN ORAL MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY (DCT 1/2/3 equivalent)
Dental Core Training(LAS) (Year 1/Year 2/Year 3) required in Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital and Cheltenham General Hospital for immediate start until Tuesday 6th September 2022.
These posts offer wide experience in oral and maxillo-facial surgery & are recognised for MFDS/MJDF & MRCS. Applicants should have full registration with the GDC. Ability to travel countywide is essential.

Main duties of the job
The Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery duties include the pre- and post-operative assessment of in-patients and day stay patients, attendance at routine operating lists, out-patient clinics and frequent emergency operating sessions. There are regular ward rounds at Gloucestershire Royal. The posts are European Working Time Directive compliant (August 2009). Direct cover is provided for the Emergency Departments at both Gloucester and Cheltenham sites it is therefore required that the on call trainee is able to travel between these 2 sites to cover emergencies as necessary.
About us
The Unit routinely undertakes a wide range of major and minor Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery. All aspects of oral medicine are seen in the busy out-patient department and joint clinics are held with the Orthodontists, Clinical Oncologists, ENT Surgeons, Dermatologists and other specialities. There is a centralised Laboratory at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, serving all hospitals within the county, as well as the Community Dental Services. The Laboratory is staffed by 6 Senior Technicians, all of whom deploy skills in the fields of both Orthodontics and Maxillo-Facial technology
