An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to join the Newcastle Surgical Training Centre Team as a Surgical Training Programme Coordinator to support the management of surgical training programmes within the Newcastle Surgical Training Centre.
The Newcastle Surgical Training Centre is a unique state of the art facility based at the Freeman Hospital, providing advanced cadaveric education to the medical profession.

Main duties of the job
To provide comprehensive advice and support within the NSTC for all surgical training Pathway
The post holder will ensurea smooth running of all surgical training pathway for regional and national Surgical trainees.
To lead the development and implementation of a programme which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.
An understanding of the NHS research and development (R&D) funding systems/costing models and the overarching NHS R&D strategy and governance framework
Liaising with course leads for planning and delivering Robotic Training Pathway, National Robotic Course, and all other Surgical Training Programmes.
Ensure educational and organisational goals are met and contribute to the development and implementation of the Pathway.
Maintain database of all the trainee details, access and monitor their progress remotely and in-person.
Liaise with HEENE and Industry to ensure curriculum requirements are being met.

- Experience and specialist knowledge in the field of medical or surgical education pathways.
- Computer literacy, together with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows
