An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Coordinator to join our successful and established research informatics team based within the Clinical Research Directorate
As Information Coordinator, you will work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects focusing on digitising research and delivering efficiencies throughout the trust. The role will report to the Research Information Manager and will work closely with a range of stakeholders.

Main duties of the job
An ability to work independently and manage your own time while operating across a range of projects is necessary while remaining an active team member. An outstanding attention to detail along with the ability to analyse, interpret and compare a range of complex information is required for this post.
To thrive in this interesting role, you will be a natural team player with excellent communication and IT skills. Ideally from an information science or knowledge management background and you will be willing to remain abreast of any Data Management developments along with the Informatic Team. No active research experience is necessary, but an understanding of research processes would be helpful.

- The Information Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring research systems work effectively.
- The key role is to ensure that all clinical trials are maximising the use of data and information to its full potential.
- Track financial transactions and resolve payment queries.
- The post holder will provide administrative support to the Information Team. This will include:o putting in place robust office systems and procedureso arranging appointments and meetingso undertake the collection and recording of research data using electronic systemso assist in the ability to analyse, investigate and resolve complex data issueso Ensure research operating policies and procedures are documented and maintained.
- To work as an integral part of the team within a busy department liaising with other departments and external organisations to ensure governance compliance.
- Play a key role in circulating and tracking responses relating to system related queries. The post holder reports to the Information Team and is based in the Newcastle Joint Research Office (NJRO) - at Regents Point, Gosforth.

- NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification OR equivalent experience

- Proven track record in organising meetings, servicing groups and committees, including drafting text, producing minutes and following up action points
- Experience of using databases to enter and report data
Desirable
- Experience in research administration
- Knowledge of Clinical Trials, Research Governance Framework and current national systems for the approval of clinical research in the NHS
