The Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery Department is based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and is one of the largest and most highly respected units of its kind in the UK.
The department is excited to be able to offer the opportunity for a reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking Waiting List Officer. You will work alongside the Waiting List Team and other administrative teams.

Main duties of the job
The role of Waiting List Officer will include booking patients into theatre lists in line with national targets and clinical urgency, led by the medical team. Other duties will include but not be limited to dealing with telephone queries from patients and colleagues, adding patients onto the waiting list using Trust's electronic patient administration system and other general office duties.
You should be able to integrate well with the existing team, be flexible in supporting the functions of the department and have a genuine desire to contribute to providing a quality service for patients.

- Manage the admissions to maximise theatre use according to the wishes of the Consultant and their team.
