The team lead role is an excellent opportunity for a positive, motivated person who wishes to develop their own knowledge and skills.
As a team lead you will take the lead for the day to day running of the staff within your own area. The role involves training, mentoring and development of new staff within the team, distributing and managing workloads to ensure that the work is carried out promptly, efficiently and to a high standard.
The team lead is required to attend and participate in meetings within the wider departments and to supply any relevant data and information as required.
The role also involves working with other team leads within the office to forward plan for the wider group to provide an exemplar service to ensure our service users' needs are met.

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and management of an efficient Reception service for Cardiothoracic Tests.
- To be responsible for the daily supervision and deployment ofReception Clerks over two hospital sites (Freeman Hospital and Royal Victoria Hospital).
- To manage and motivate a team of staff daily to ensure work is carried out to a high standard.
- To attend and participate in meetings appropriate to the role.
- To train members of the team in the processes and system used.

To be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and management of an efficient Reception service for Cardiothoracic Tests. The daily supervision and deployment of Reception Clerks over two hospital sites.
Cardiothoracic Tests is a multidisciplinary department within the Cardiothoracic Services Directorate., which covers ECG, Cardiac Rhythm Management, Echo, and Lung Function.
Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first months pay.
